During this time, Special Olympics athletes (people with intellectual disabilities (ID), Program leaders, Unified Sports partners, teachers, clinicians, family members and volunteers from across the United States convene to meet with Members of Congress on Capitol Hill. Typically, Special Olympics U.S. Programs travel to Washington, D.C. to meet with their state\u2019s Members of Congress in person. However, due to COVID-19, all meetings for Capitol Hill Day 2022 were held virtually.
