A special coronation night was held Allamanda Estate Villa, Beef Island to formally appoint the representative of British Virgin Islands to the 71st Miss Universe pageant. Lia Claxton, 18, was selected as the new Miss Universe British Virgin Islands. She is one of the three finalists in the last year’s pageant which was won by Xaria Penn.
Lia Claxton is from Tortola and she is a model and an athlete. In her spare time she loves to play the piano and it is her dream to travel around the world. Her country is yet to win the Miss Universe crown and is currently ranked 124th at the Big5 Ranking.
