One of the longest running international pageants is the 50 year old Miss Intercontinental pageant. What begun as a teen pageant has now become one of the largest international competitions of the Miss division.
The unique aspect of the Miss Intercontinental competition is that candidates have to first compete against ladies from their continents before they are named part of the top 5.
Each continental winner will then compete against each other for the main title.

Contestants from 71 countries and territories are gathered right now in Egypt for the 2022 competition, with the debut of Cambodia, Sierra Leone, and United Arab Emirates.
